I am not a huge Walmart fan. But walking around today I found a great banquet table that was just what I needed for occasional work space.

It is a folding 72" long table x about 30" wide (or so).

It is white...not the ugly woodgrain or beige found on many of those tables.

It folds for easy storage in the middle. When open, the crease closes up nice and smooth. Heavy, but has a nice handle to help move up stairs.

I will raise with risers.

I have a great work table already but wanted a table to lay pattern pieces out while constructing. Imagine a classroom table but without the table mate. Not sure the price, around $30...looking for receipt. Not in sewing section....look for the folding chairs and the card tables.

I never cared for the folding sewing tables so for the low price, this was great.

Is this your table?

Very nice and gets great reviews.

Thanks for sharing. I need a cutting table for my room. This fits the bill. I'll just add some elevation with those bed elevator things under the legs.

Yes, Carla...that is the table. Thanks for the link.

If someone has the space, they could use two for an extra wide or extra long table.

I have a couple of these in my sewing room. Once actually holds my Bernina 830, so it is really stable. Mine are both the five foot version and have the wood core, not the plastic type. I've had these for years and use one for sewing and the other mostly for cutting which I do at table height.
Some day I'll have a real sewing table that my machine will sit down in as well as a cutting table at counter height.

I have two of the long ones on each side of my sewing machine cabinet/table to form a "U" sewing area and a shorter one to hold the computer and printer.

They are also good for displaying items you are selling (yard sales, flea market, farmers market, craft fairs, etc).

I see that Sam's has one for almost twice the price: Sam's Table

I wonder if it's worth the investment? Lgrande, your table sounds much more heavy duty like this one.

Dresscode, would you please share your experience with stablity of the Walmart table.

I will be using it for cutting especially.

Thanks in advance for any further information anyone can give.

My table is on hard wood floor. If on carpet I don't think it will slide.

It is fine for cutting. I wouldn't put the 830 on it....

Love having my patterns stretched out so match points are easy to see. This frees up my island type table for handwork.

I purchased the same table about a month ago, went back a week later and got the smaller card table size too. Great value, they are very sturdy and love the fact they fold up and can be stored easily.

I have one of those but in black. I never thought of using it for my sewing. Its much bigger then the table I am currently using.
I cut and thrace my patterns on the floor, but this is so much better.
