I'm looking for something similar to a ponte that's a pure bright white. All the pontes I've looked at are a winter white.

I've done a number of searches and found a few things that might work (samples first though) unless anybody has suggestions.

Thanks,
Debbie

You might look at this. It's heavier than the more common Sophia ponte. I would call it a true bottom weight. I bought some last fall when I was in NY, and would love to have more.ponte bottom weight
Don't let the description put you off, it's a rayon lycra blend

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

Thanks for the suggestion. I ordered a couple of samples. It sounds like a mystery knit that I got at Walmart a few years back for $1 yd. I got 8 yds. and wish I'd of bought the whole bolt! It wears like iron and washes beautifully.

You might check this out. It's a lovely white, white ponte.

How'd I miss that? I checked Marcy's site before posting here. I know her pant fabrics are fabulous. Thanks for posting what I obviously missed.
