Date: 5/11/12 6:19 AM The burda French site is not updated anymore, according to the webmaster.
No how, no why.
WTF ?
(Sorry, but I'm really upset ... I hope they will not stop publishing the French Burda version alltogether). ------ Meet me at rosemiracles.wordpress.com |

Date: 5/11/12 7:30 AM The French website has been down to a minimum for a while, so I'm not surprised. I doubt they would get rid of the French version of the magazine as there is such a large community of French Burda sewists (like the Burda addicts blog). |

Date: 5/11/12 8:16 AM Have you sent an e-mail to the company, to see if there is change coming? Maybe they don't realize they have a strong following. |

Date: 5/11/12 8:33 AM Yes, I could, but as Burda is an old German company, I'm afraid there's nothing to be done once they've made up their mind (speaking from experience ...).
Basically they published a message that said "the site is over now, you can go to website X to buy single issues or enveloppe patterns, goodbye".

Date: 5/11/12 9:10 AM The English website has been gone for a while (merged -- sort of -- with Burdastyle community site), but Burda patterns are still available. I think they're just consolidating their websites into as few as possible. I wish they'd realize that the old format was much more user-friendly, but I've given up on that.
Are Burda patterns still available in your stores?

Probably written by the same person who wrote the "everything is being moved -- it will all be on Burdastyle soon" message we got in English. (The move took forever and for a year or so there was no English site that showed the envelope patterns.)------ my shield and my very great reward (Gen. 15:1)

Date: 5/11/12 11:58 AM Ugh, I used the French Burdastyle site for getting all my tech drawings from the magazines. It's waaaay nicer to browse through (especially on a mobile device) than the English or German sites. And it was a bonus that I could understand written French fairly well. I guess I'll have to start using the Italian version now. :( ------ www.fehrtrade.com |

Date: 5/11/12 12:16 PM As we get to a more and more internet driven economy, I am very surprised Burda is doing away with websites. I would imagine doing away with the Mag first. I hope it never comes to that I love the Burda Mag |

Date: 5/11/12 1:15 PM It appears the Russian version is also moving to its own website from the first of June. Shame - I really don't like English Bursdastyle site because I am really only interested in the magazine content and I relied on the French and Russian sites for details of the upcoming issues and the archive of past issues. |
