Date: 5/16/12 8:34 AM I just saw a cute jacket on Sewingpattern.com a Neu Mode 22721 jacket that I thought may work for my jean jacket. I'm not familiar with this company. How is the fit? Has anyone used Neu Mode? |

Date: 5/16/12 9:42 AM I have not used their downloads, but have some of their paper patterns, which I don't think they make anymore. I like them, fit is similar to Burda if I recall correctly. ------ Kim

How is the fit? Has anyone used Neu Mode? I never tried the downloads but used their envelope patterns and the magazine (yep, there was a "Neue Mode" magazine once upon time ...) in the 80ies/90ies. If I recall correctly, they terminated first the magazine, then the envelope patterns at the end 90ies so the fit will be a bit different than today..
Neue Mode was made by a German company, similar fit and style as burda, well drafted patterns. No seam allowances. Instructions as you know it from burda: very limited ones in the magazine, more detailed ones in the envelopes (more detailed than burda enevelope instructions of today). I actually liked Neue Mode patterns a tad better as I found their styles to be more current and modern compared to burda.------ Happy Sewing! |

They used to be at the back of the little booklet which had the instructions. I just checked 'your pattern' on sewingpatterns.com and you need to download the instructions, open the file and go to the very last page (47 out of 47). There you'll find information on fabric requirements and notions.
