Network Reply Is Incorrect

Any idea of where to go with this? Windows? The software vendor?

Does it use your network? It would be worthwhile to Google this error message and also to see if the manufacturer of the software can shed some light on this error message. I contacted MS and they determined it was an error with my software. I finally got across to the vendor's support that I could not open the software and they accessed my computer as I watched and interacted to the point where I could input the license number for the software. This appeared to have involved installing new drivers. All is now well. I already have Norton to scan for intrusion. -- Edited on 5/23/12 11:24 AM --

Be sure it's updated. Norton can be intrusive itself and sometimes can cause the alarms to ring without cause. Finally got rid of McAfee and Norton on our Windows machines and got Trend Micro - good program, does the job, runs without knocking you over the head with messages 24/7 etc. Just sayin' - but for years and years I was happy with Norton on Windows and Mac. May as well add that for Mac I use MacScan and Cocktail. Two good utilities that have scanning; trojans, tracking cookie detection and other malware detection.
