I posted about this a while back--this gentleman started making his own jeans and now manufactures jeans. Great story and great pictures if you click through to his website. This article unfortunately omits the vintage reproduction angle of his work. Roy operates in a niche with dozens of other labels, mostly Japanese, that recreate the quality and the features of vintage jeans. here's a video of some of his machines http://vimeo.com/16075230
