Travelling: another plus for Sewing with a Plan EVERYTHING goes with EVERYTHING

Date: 5/26/12 6:08 AM So, I'm packing for the Memorial Day weekend away: the weather in NE US has been different every day for the past two weeks: warm, rainy, windy, chilly, whatev', which is usually a nightmare when packing a suitcase. But this morning, I am again grateful for Sewing with a Plan. Everything goes with everything. The red sweater will be outstanding if I need it for daytime Memorial Day events when I'm wearing a dressy brown khaki shorts outfit (with a red tie: I'm channelling The Boy Scouts!) , and the same sweater will also go great with the leopard and leather print dress I'm wearing for evening. And the tan shirt I'm wearing with the shorts could also be used as a jacket. I wore school uniforms right up to college-hood, so I really don't have a lot of fashion instinct, but when you Sew with a Plan, you can practically dress yourself blindfolded and look great! j. -- Edited on 5/26/12 9:24 AM --

And that's many times the reason we sew in the first place, no? :)

There's a 2 week fall trip for which I have few clothes ~ weight loss, several years of being care-giver at end-of-life (twice), and just too tired to shop have all resulted in my dilemma. Where to begin? Two separate but related points of beginning: (1) what garments are needed and (2) are there any fabrics in stash that will create a coordinated clothing (if not, then a shopping trip is in order). ------ "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." I also need to make white pants and shorts to go with the fabrics I have in stash and all will coordinate.
