I really like the webcast that Peggy Sagers at Silhouette Patterns does. She does these on so many different topics. You can ask questions. Past webcasts are available to view if you couldn't join the live one.
Craftsy has a free Sewing Machine 911 class. Haven't watched this one yet but I hear great things about other Craftsy classes.
I just found ProfessorPinCushion recently. There are videos on specific topics (bias binding), as well as, projects start to finish from a pattern. Really great for those just starting out.
What are the other great sewing videos out there on the world wide web? |

Date: 5/29/12 4:13 AM There's a great blog created by Sigrid on sewing tutorials which used to be regularly updated though I'm not sure how often now. Not all of the tutes are on video but you may find it really helpful though SEWING TUTORIALS BLOGSPOT.

Date: 5/29/12 11:24 AM Great post! I love Professor Pincushion and I'll have to check out those other sites you guys mention. As a very clueless beginner, I found the youtube series "Sewing from the very beginning" extremely helpful.

It's very detailed tour of a start (before opening the pattern envelope) to finish sewing project by a beginner. She explains basic things that many other sites assume you already know. |

Date: 6/3/12 7:49 PM FWIW, I think Sigrid's Tutorials are the best compilation on the web. It is good solid information. ------ http://lasewist.blogspot.com/ |
