I actually brought home a factory refurbished Brother ULT 2003D. It was a little noisy and I thought the thing was going to shake itself apart.

I was looking for something to be wrong so I could trade it in on that wonderfully delicious Innovis-4000D.

And that's just what I did two days later!! I embroidered a small disney design within about 10 minutes of taking it out of the box. Very user friendly! I also got the black one, which I wasn't happy about at first, but I couldn't beat the deal and it's really not that bad. As long as you don't mind wiping away fingerprints all the time!

Now I'm going to try to figure out which software is going to best meet my needs. More research!

Do you mean more built in embroidery patterns or more built in deco stitches? If it is more embroidery patterns you want you can get all you can ever use off the internet if you have a reader box.

I believe the trade in value on that machine is about $450..they never give more than half what was paid unless it came from them..If you know where it came from you will get more taking it there to trade it in.Every dealer is different ..doesn't seem to matter what the blue book says. If you want to trade it for another brand well..that's a whole 'nother story. You would probably do better selling it yourself.

Hi. I am checking out the Innovis 4000D but I notice there are no reviews posted yet. Have you thought of writing one - I'm sure lots of people would appreciate it.
