Did anybody buy any of this last year? It was on sale and I bought quite alot of it. Just getting around to washing it.

Didn't think to test a small sample. Now it's all washed and it is 10 yards, and I'm scared to put it in the dryer.

I don't really think hanging it will work, it is a knit and will streach out?

I thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience with this fabric.

I bought it with visions of easy to sew/fit maxi dresses for summer around the house/yard. I have yardage in three colors.

Thanks, Jeannie

Don't hang it. It most certainly will stretch out on you.

I put all my rayon knits into the dryer; I just use the gentle cycle and remove the fabric when it's barely damp...as in 10 more minutes and it would be totally dry. Then I spread the fabric out on top of a bed sheet on top of the table (actually usually the floor) for an hour or so.

You should be fine, just keep an eye on it, and better to find out now, than after. Unless you want to forever be dry cleaning 10 yards worth of clothing.

I also dry all my knit rayon knits, on low heat.

Thank's ladies,

I put it in the dryer and dried not totaly completly hot dried.

( I never dry my clothes in the dryer)

It looks great.

But, your not going to belive this, I cannot belive I did this.

I left it in the washer while I asked my question.

Forget it was in there, welllll, it was a beige color that blended in with the inside of the washer

I decided the two pairs of coveralls on the floor of the laundry room should be washed. And aparently I just threw them in on top of the 10 yards of rayon knit eyelet that had already been washed on delicate and just left for me to decide how to dry it.

And put extra detergent and washed them twice!! And rinsed twice! In an old fashion top loading washer! (I wouldn't have any other kind)

I couldn't belive it when I opened the washer and saw my rayon knit in with nasty greasy, laden with metal grinding dust coveralls. Or, they were before they got washed. :)

I cannot belive this, to me, fragile fabric came out with out little rust spots all over it, and covered with fuzz balls. These coveralls have metal buttons on too.
