Hi I hope someone could help I'm looking for a wedding dress pattern for my wedding dress.Have seen and tried on my dream dress but its too expensive so an trying to get as near as possible made by a friend who's a dressmaker.I've looked on-line to no avail,am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.I need a pattern that has a sweetheart neckline and a dropped waist going into a ballroom gown, needn't be the same pattern two different patterns will do that she can incorporate into one dress. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated as the wedding is a little over 4 months away and am staring to panick!!

Can you post a picture or a link to your dream dress?

The sweetheart neck is just a matter of cutting the right shape. You need to match the bodice (princess or darted), skirt gathered, circle or gored and if it needs sleeves it's helpful if the sleeve head is what you want. You don't even need to look at long dresses. Length is just a matter of where you cut. I think I remember some New Look dresses that have the dropped waist and I've found their patterns mix and match pretty well.

Your dress sounds like an 1980's style. Look into sifting through the vintage patterns on Etsy or other websites. I have a TON of 80's patterns- you are welcome to them if one of them could meet your need .
