Date: 6/3/12 8:28 PM Hi all,
Currently making a top for my sister. It's a one arm/shoulder slightly loose with tie top .M6118
I have come up with 2 hem options, but I can't decide which one looks best with the top. Please help! One is a coverstitch and the other is a rolled hem. Please vote!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Date: 6/3/12 9:58 PM They both look nice, so on looks alone, it would seem to be about personal preference. Thinking about it, my pick might be with the cover stitch hem so as not to have the solid color of the rolled hem laying against my pants or leggings.
I'm always concerned about my backside view so I would also consider which hem would be most likely to hang straight down on the backside. I would think that might be the heavier hem.
Thanks for the reminder to do a little sewing for my sis. What a great pattern you are working with!

Date: 6/3/12 10:03 PM I like the rolled hem but you won't go wrong if you choose the coverstitch.

Date: 6/3/12 10:06 PM I vote for the rolled hem. The coverstitch, to my mine, looks....not as nice. Plus, do you really need a horizontal white line accentuating the width of your hips? ;) |

Date: 6/3/12 11:50 PM I prefer the rolled hem, but both do look nice.
