I am trying to make this in a drapey knit... my problem is with the instructions,,

the instructions say in step 7 under Back and Front,
on outside, center remnants over small circle, as shown. Stitch along lines, pivoting at small circle.

I understand the area probably need reinforcing,, 1st is says to use a remnant,, as in using a piece of the same material I am making the jacket out of,, this material is NOT very sturdy,,2nd and most important,,,is it is showing to put the "remnant" on the OUTSIDE of the material,,, shouldn't it go on the inside...

I have read reviews on this top,, and nobody says anything about this part of the instructions being odd,,,,

can someone help...

The folks at Marci Tilton's art barn are amazingly helpful when I call asking about their fabric. Why not go to the Marci Tilton website and pull up the contact info and send them an email?

I haven't sewn this yet and couldn't get to any pictures to help with the question, but...consider putting the reinforcement where you want it. You could also tuck interfacing or another sheer fabric in between two layers of the remnant that you are working with for reinforcing the area. Presuming you can trim away the excess.

I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct.
