Auto-digitizing software PE Lite, Buzz2Stitches, others?

My mother saw this as an opportunity for me to embroider her business logo on EVERYTHING, and didn't understand when I tried telling her that her clip art wouldn't do me any good (she has absolutely no sewing knowledge, and little computer knowledge.) I know that you can have a professional digitize it for you, and I probably will for her design. But I'm also interested in creating my own designs. Nothing complicated. Mostly clip-art style designs. I can do computer basics, but when you start talking about vectors I get confuzzled. Also, I don't want to spend a ton of money on something I likely won't use often, so PE Design Next/Plus/8/whatever is out ($1000+ yikes!). Are there any that are truly scan, click, embroider? I heard Buzz2Stitches will do this for cartoon style designs. Has anyone tried this? Amazon tells me that Brother's PE Design Lite will also do this. It claims "You're literally a Click Away from Stitches with the Auto-Digitizing Feature. Convert Scanned-in Images, Clipart and more into Embroidery Designs in just a Few Minutes!!!" Can anyone verify this? I'm open to other programs too. Those are just the only two I know of. I'd like to not spend more than 300 maybe, and it needs to be very user friendly. Suggestions? Going price is about $200 as i recall. Can import .bmp from windows paint and autodigitize them. Ive been useing it to make biker style patches with my brother se350 machine. Im sure it does more than what ive learned to do so far but does have its limitations. They also have Letter It which would work really good for lettering. ------ Zacky

I use Buzz Tools auto digitize that uses the vector file as an input file. It then produces an embroidery file in the format to fit your machine.
