Does anyone have suggestions for fabric shopping in Denver? I am heading there this summer and would like to add to my stash as it is getting low.

Wonderful variety of fabrics and friendly staff. This is NOT the same store as the Denver on line fabric store.

And if you get up to Loveland--see Rockywoods. It's a small showroom but for outdoor fabrics, I thought it was worth a look!

ETA also if you get up to Boulder Elfriedes Fine Fabrics. Amazing fabrics there!

Elfriede does have some remarkable fabrics! My sweet dh, on a motorcycle trip last summer, found her store and bought me some rose-colored cashmere that is to die for (carried it around, carefully wrapped, in his pannier for a couple of weeks, he did). Turns out her FIL and my FIL were colleagues briefly decades ago. You never know what's going to turn up, do you?

You might check out fabric bliss. They also have a website. The owner's are awesome. It's a sewing and knitting studio and they stock for both.

Count me in as one who thinks you should not miss Elfriedes. Awesome, awesome, awesome. If I want to see, touch, and buy high quality fabric in person, I just drive right through Denver and head up to Boulder!

That good huh? OK, looks like I'll have to make a trip. Graduated from CU so I can look at my old stomping grounds while there....although all I did while there was study, blah. I'll add all the other mentioned stores to my list as well. Thank you so much!!

I just read about this shop Fancy Tiger on another thread.

Ohhhhh, wish I was going back this year!

Loved that area!

More info in a blog post.

Enjoy your trip!

Be sure to go to Denver Fabrics.

And look all around the store. There are some amazing gems hiding in odd places. :D

Last time I was there it was 'self-cut' for the yardage pieces. I've never before found a place that encouraged that!

And you'll find amazing prices, especially on the pre-cut pieces.

I'll be in Denver this next week, spending time with a 3 yr old...so doubt I'll have time to sew, much less shop...
