3 members like this. Date: 6/12/12 10:54 PM My cat goes in for dental surgery on Friday, and I'll be at home panicking. So I need something to occupy me.
I love virtual choosing fabrics online, so name me 3 patterns, I don't care what company, and a color you like ("purples"or "dark teal" or "red and black" etc) and I'll online fabric shop for you and your chosen patterns. Virtually, that is. :
: When I've found my fabric picks for your color palette and patterns, I'll post them.
That outta keep me busy until the phone call comes that I can bring my furry baby home.

1 member likes this. Date: 6/12/12 11:07 PM I can really make it hard for you, lol.
Color: Orange print. The other colors are up to you. The crazier it is, the better.
Patterns: find 3 new etsy sellers with vintage inspired patterns. Make sure that the fabric you choose matches with the print AND minimizes the loudness of it.
ETA: LOL I do this with the stuff I buy all the time. Ask me how I know it's time consuming... -- Edited on 6/12/12 11:07 PM -- |

Date: 6/12/12 11:25 PM I understand how you feel, my cat had major dental surgery about two years ago. Is he going to West Coast Dental? They are very good. I just ordered from Style Arc for the first time, the Creative Cate, Stella coat, Marita dress & Emma top (oops that's four). I like mid-tones, fushia pinks, berry colours, grey, black. Try not to worry too much, I know it's very difficult not to but I know he'll be just fine. ------ Viking D1, 1+, Pfaff 7570, Singer 503 Rocketeer, 66, 15-91, Featherweight 5 Flock, Babylock Enlighten & Coverstitch and Pfaff Creative Performance |

Date: 6/12/12 11:38 PM Wow, thanks guys! I should have waited until Thursday night to post, as I want to start fabric hunting already, lol! And then all day Friday I'd be sitting here panicking, sigh.
Ok I'll fess up...I already have yours found, friendscript.
Elaina and Loti...you're very cruel, the pair of you, lol!
Thanks, clotheshorse! I know it has to be done, but he's 15, and although he doesn't look or act it, and his senior panel came back excellent, and he really has to have this done for his health....I'm still going to be a total panicky mess come Friday. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! Date: 6/12/12 11:59 PM Oh you poor babies! I know first hand from a panicky loved one that the feeling is truly devastating. I'll do my best to help you out Lynn.
COLOR:
Rich Deep Tones with bright pops-
Purple with browns, rusts, lime greens and orange
NO to Purple with pink jade and teal
Reds, mixes of them, with oranges, with grey, and mossy greens not so much with black
Yellows and golds in almost any shade and saturation.
Pastels- pale or deeper- I like pink and peach and aqua
Off Whites in interesting textures
I have honey color hair with reddish highlights, green eyes and a light tan. Wow, I sound pretty good, don't be fooled. I am a full busted hour-glass and wear a 10 or a 12 RTW.
Just have some fun with color!
PATTERNS-
* Vogue 8817 Katherine Tilton either View B or D. I'd like to avoid black and grey on this one. Maybe work with mixing the scale of the prints?
* Hot Patterns Classix Nouveau Uptown/Downtown Knit Dress- I'd love a fabulous sweater knit, a rib, texture, Missoni zig zag, lacey and don't go nuts looking for rib trim.
* Style Arc- Pleated Pia top or, Kristin Dress- your pick.
Thanks and hope this helps allay your misery. ------ Sometimes she didn't always follow the recipe.
Pfonzie- my honey Pfaff Creative Performance, Bernina 930 and 830, Evolution serger. |
