I have had a Pfaff 300E for a while and we moved and now I can't get it to work. It will come on and it's hooked to the same computer as before. When I turn it on, it wants me to load the disk, which I can not find! I have looked everywhere! I found the cd holder but it was empty. I already contacted a dealer which was no help! It's just sitting here gathering dust. Does anyone have a spare pfaff cd? Can I bypass this on my computer and get it to work since its already downloaded?

I don't have the Pfaff you mentioned (I have the 4D Suite) so I am unable to give you specific advice; however, you may want to go to Yahoo Groups and join one of the Pfaff Groups and post your question there. There are several Pfaff Groups (may be one specifically for the Pfaff you own) and you may be able to get satisfactory response. I know the Pfaff Group that I joined helped me when I purchased a Pfaff CV. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Pfaff is no longer supporting the 300E software at all and the software will NOT work with Vista or Windows 7, only up to XP. Honestly your best bet is to replace it with a Brother machine like the 500 or if you want Disney the 950D. Either will give you the 4x4 embroidery area and take USB sticks so no special software is required.

I'm very surprised your Pfaff dealer didn't help you !
The Pfaff dealer I bought my Pfaff 300e from switched sewing machine brands.A couple of years ago I misplaced my 3D embroidery software CD.I contacted a Pfaff dealer I didn't even know in another town and had absolutely no problems to get a copy of the CD from that Pfaff dealer.

The Pfaff dealer requested the product license code from the back of the CD cover, which I had written on a separate piece of paper and into my manual.I was told it might take a while to get the CD copy from Pfaff. But I received a copy of the embroidery CD within several weeks.

And a few days later I found my original CD where it was supposed to be.I just didn't see it,although I looked in the same place twice !

A word of caution,it may not be legal for just anyone to copy the Pfaff software and give it to someone else.I think the embroidery software is copyright protected ! It's best for the owner of the machine to contact the Pfaff company. Especially if a Pfaff dealer refuses to get a copy of the software for the original owner of a Pfaff sewing and/or embroidery machine.

Yes !

And yes... I still like my Pfaff 300e stand alone embroidery machine with 3D software !

The embroidery machine doesn't work without software !
The Pfaff 300e stand alone embroidery machine came originally with the 3D software CD,the CD has a product license code and two manuals. The 3D software CD has copy right, please read my comments above on how to receive a legal copy of the 3D software CD.

No,I'm not selling the 3D software original CD or the CD copy, unless I would sell the embroidery machine. Not !

On the 3D software CD cover it says.....please store this CD cover in a safe place,as it contains your unique Product License Code. The unique Product License Code below is needed when you :
Install your 3D Embroidery Intro software.
Register your 3D Embroidery Intro software.
Contact Customer Support.

If anyone else owns a Pfaff 300e stand alone embroidery machine with 3D software they don't use because they don't have a Windows XP PC or laptop, please read below...................

When Microsoft stopped supporting Windows XP in 2014 I was concerned that I couldn't use my Pfaff 300e stand alone embroidery machine with 3D software anymore, unless I bought a laptop with Windows XP for the embroidery machine, not to go online. No dealer,no young PC guru,or anyone else I asked online could answer my question whether or not my embroidery machine would work with Windows 7 or not.

I decided to let a friendly, knowledgeable local area PC guru with a long white beard update my PC XP tower with Windows 7 32 bit. The friendly and kind PC guru told me to bring my Pfaff 300e embroidery machine to his shop when I pick up the updated with Windows 7 PC tower.

It only took the PC guru a couple of minutes to find a new driver.I connected the embroidery machine. The PC guru asked me to check if everything worked well.He never watched an embroidery machine embroider an embroidery design "live" before.

When I disconnect the USB cable from the PC tower for any reason,I make sure the USB cable goes in the same USB port, not another USB port.I labeled the USB cable with the USB port I use too.

There above, is supposedly a driver for it. Have no idea if it will work or not though. But you could always try it.

But I can tell it was much like some Janome machines. Also not too different from even an elna 8100 machine. Also apparently like a Viking em1, Bernina Marie Osmond em1, and even a White 4400 machine.

Maybe just use the manual for the "White one" from the Singer website free download instead. That's just the manual though, no software.

www.singerco.com/uploads/download/880_white-4400-emb-a-x.pdf

Also I think that means if you really need "Navigator software" for it, to even get an outside design into it, then you actually do probably have a bunch of companies to try to "pester and bug" and get some from, probably, Janome, Bernina, Viking, Pfaff, and White which is now SVP too and maybe even some others. So many places might be better than just only one even? Maybe someone at one of them, will take pity on you and find you something?

You could also try something else, it probably won't work, but maybe worth a try. You could try taking a smallish USB stick, like not a gigabyte one at all and only 128mb instead, and formatting it FAT partition in your own computer, then creating you own "emb" or "emb1" folder in there and on it, and if the USB connection at the machine, was the same size and type as the USB stick , if you just dropped a .jef formatted embroidery file on it, in that directory, there might be a very small chance of some way to pick that up from within the machine, even without Navigator software? I have no idea, as don't have that machine to even try with.
