I am ATTEMPTING to make a button front, classic shirt. I feel like screaming trying to raise armholes at least 2" on most of the patterns I have. While the KS I was working with is a great top, I either need to retrace a shirt with princess armhole 2 sizes larger just to get the back closer to what I need & still raise the armholes 2" in addition to all of the lengthening on 4body pieces instead of 2, both of which need to have length added in 2 places. I would have to add 2" to the Brensan basic L/S & S/S patterns also. Just eyeballed the basic shirt pattern from Cecelia Podolak which I bought Fri--still low armholes.
To add to the frustration, I am out of/can't find my tracing paper. I have now ordered more from 2 places. By next week , I should have a lifetime supply unless I forget where I put it.
I am sure Ottobre Woman is better but I do not feel like trying to find the pattern & measure the armhole before tracing.
How low is the armhole on the Burda's? I want something about 20" total length. I also have 2 MyStyle, some LMB, Knipmode 4/12 so will starting going through the pile. The armhole is a good length on Peggy Sager's patterns but I have difficulty with the fit on those too. Thanks.

I've never measured but I wear an altered 36/38 (18/19 in Petites) and AFAIK my bra doesn't show in sleeveless garments.

Send me an email at my username AT gmail DOT com and I can send you a downloadable pattern* I have with a sleeve. It's multisize you so you can find and print the page(s) you need in the size you want.

*ETA for those worried about copyright, it's one of the free ones and I offer because Julia C might not want to sign up to Burdastyle.com JUST to get an armscye info.

Thank you for the offer but I have been subscribing for several months. After re-measuring my back with my husband's help, I have decided to try a pattern in a size 48 which has the closest shoulder/back width to me. I have been using a 42. I have not measured accurately but they are definitely much smaller than I have been working with. The July Burda Style has a plain button front that goes to a size 52. I will get lots of practice widening arms. My biceps have never been 13.5" as far as I know.
