I won a Judge’s Merit at the National Patchwork Championships at Sandown (Esher, UK) this weekend! I just went this afternoon to collect it, but didn’t know if I had been given anything. They only phone you if it is a first.

It is “Sky Princess”…or what she might wear. I was thinking of the sun reflecting in coppery edges on clouds. The fastenings are copper washers. The outside of the coat was made from metallic silk tissue.

I had entered it into another show a few years ago but was never happy with the fact that I ran out of time to make all the clouds she really needed. SO, I am pleased it is not hanging on the cupboard in my room and more than pleased that someone liked it!

An absolutely gorgeous art garment!

Copper washers as buttons! Totally creative!

You rock! Beautiful!

It is so pretty-I love metallic colors and your garment has just the right touches of them.
