Men's Dress shirt make over....
speattle Member since 2/10/11 Posts: 124	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 6/25/12 1:30 AM I used an online tutorial baby boy button up to make a little shirt for my grandson. I tweaked the tutorial a bit and used a shirt of Grandpa's. I utilized the existing buttonhole and button front edges and the pocket (trimmed down, but left the top finished edge) to save myself a bit of work. I also applied the collar in a more traditional tailored method with hand stitching the edge of the upper collar to the seam line rather than covering the seam with seam tape. Here is the before picture of the original shirt (I'd already removed the pocket and had been doing some buttonhole practice on the collar for a different project) Here is the after with the new baby shirt and the remains of the original shirt: Finally, here is the baby shirt by itself:
