Pattern Magic or TR Pattern Cutting anyone sewing through the books?

I got the first 2 books recently and hope to begin trying some of the patterns out. As well as that, Has anyone tried any of the pattern cutting from Shingo SatoTR Pattern Cutting? I have 3 more weeks of teaching, then a holiday and a textile art deadline.Then I want to work my way through some of the ideas. Once I get my head round it better, I'd like to try some of my own twists...but that is getting ahead of my self. It's not hard, per we, but it definitely helped me to talk to him in person to understand what was as going on. I am thinking about getting the book, but it is somewhat dear in price. Sorry I didn't get back straight away. My MIL had a fall and we had to go up to York for a few days. I won't be able to start on these til September. But I am looking forward to it. It might be more incentive if there was someone willing to have a go at the same time.
