Date: 7/5/12 9:53 AM I just pulled out my pattern to have a go at making one of these well loved tops. I noticed my pattern does not have the notches marked on either the front neck piece or the front of the top for gathering.
Has anyone else had this problem? Possibly if someone could send me the measurement from shoulder to notch on each piece, I can move forward. Just measure the largest size and I can take it from there. |

Date: 7/5/12 10:23 AM I've just started the Riviera Cote D' Azur knit top and it has missing notches too. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 7/5/12 11:16 AM It's just about 7 1/2 inches on my pattern, measured on the largest size. ------ A balanced diet is a cupcake in each hand. |

Thanks everyone
Diane S - I wonder if their printer is missing the notch markings. I expect she would want to know your pattern is missing the markings also. -- Edited on 7/5/12 7:09 PM -- |

Date: 7/6/12 8:20 PM I, too, thought my pattern was missing the notches. When I took the pattern to direct sunlight I was able to see the notches EVER SO LIGHTLY printed on the neckline, neckband, arms eye and sleeve. Believe me, they were ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to see. This is a real bummer from a pattern company that should know better. |

Date: 7/7/12 0:50 AM diane s- Which notches are you missing? If you are talking about the notches for the center front gathering, the fourth notch is the point at the
bottom of the curve where it meets the CF. That was a head scratcher for me too. I've made that top/dress four times now.
No problems with the sunshine top, but I have lost track of my notches in all that gathering. |

No problems with the sunshine top, but I have lost track of my notches in all that gathering. That's the notch I couldn't find. The instructions made it look like it was at the point, so I used it. I feel for as much as the pattern costs, I shouldn't have to work so hard at looking fo notches that aren't marked.
My top is still under construction, I hope my turns out as good as yours did.------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |
