Date: 7/12/12 8:56 PM Does anyone know if there is a place (s) I could send a small swatch of fabric and then be told WHAT it is??? I have the last piece of my Walmart special double knit. The outside has almost a crepe like texture while the inside is smooth. I have made a couple of capris out of this and I want more. Just don't know what it is called!
Anyone know of any services like that? ------ Brother ULT 2002D, Janome 6500P, Babylock Eclipse SX, Juki MO654DE, Janome Coverpro 1000CPX, Singer 15-91 |

On second reading, you're looking for the weave, not the fiber? if you determine the fiber, ie polyester, then you know it's a smooth-back poly crepe double knit.
Email Mood Fabrics, Sawyer Brook, Gorgeous Fabrics and Marcy Tilton and ask if you can send a swatch for ID; they all carry a very good collection of bottom-weights so would be likely to know what it is.
Hope you find lots more, whatever it is!
