Fake Fur Tips Needed Fake fur tends to slip and slide while sewing,

I'm somewhere between a beginning sewer and intermediate and have not used fake fur in the past. I am constructing a santa claus for this coming Christmas. The body was clear sailing but the suit is troublesome. Not only is the fabric creeping and crawling but I can't seem to get the right adjustments on my sewing machine. I've changed needles and blown out lint but don't get consistent stitch lengths. any help will be appreciated. --Judy

If you are, try loosening the top and bottom thread tension. A larger needle may be needed. A walking or Teflon foot is helpful. Use binder clip instead of pins. If the pile is really thick try trimming the fur that is in the sa. Give any adjustments a try on scraps. Picking out stitches on this fabric is a pain. Much faster to cut it off and try again.
