In my case, it would have to be machine wash and dryable too. And I would make the long seams flat fell so it would feel smooth inside. That's a cute pattern. It would work short as a top like you said or all the way to the floor. I say, just have fun with it! ------ Thank you Lord for my Mother who taught me the joy of sewing.

I like a lightweight knit in short lengths this time of year. In the winter I like a medium knit in a longer length. Everything I wear has to be breathable, machine washable and looks good out of the dryer.

Date: 7/22/12 3:25 PM Flat felled seams are super easy and nice for sleepwear. A little trimming, fold over pressing and stitch is all. I don't use a special presser foot for them. On long straight seams, they are very easy to do! And if you're sewing any fabric that's woven, you won't have raveling. ------ Thank you Lord for my Mother who taught me the joy of sewing.

I have this VERY ravely rayon fabric that I think I'm just gonna use to line a REALLY nice purple skirt or dress. its also see thru - so maybe flat felled seams will come in handy.
