Date: 7/21/12 9:23 PM Does anyone know where I could get either of these manuals? They are the same machine. I bought one off E-Bay and gave it to my friend's daughter. I don't have a manual for the machine. The machine is giving her an error message of LO and refusing to stitch. She has looked for any thread tangles and can't find any. I am 55 miles away so not much help.

Date: 7/21/12 9:40 PM My Janome manual for another model tells me this means the machine is "overloaded." Turn off and wait - turn on in about 30 seconds. BUT, make sure feed dogs are up, no thread caught in anywhere. I would leave it off until I had taken out the bobbin, rethreaded the machine and checked the bobbin, and maybe put in a new bobbin. The manual also says under Lo to check that you haven't got the bobbin thingie over in the wind-a-bobbin-place. Hope this all helps. Maybe the needle is dulled or bent as well. Don't try to stitch until all avenues have been explored. -- Edited on 7/21/12 9:41 PM -- ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

I think it probably means you got a thread lock, in the race area or something physical blocking it and jamming it up and machine does not want to run that way, as does not want to burn out it's motor, attempting to be doing that maybe. So that could be a thread tangle. Or anything jamming it up. If the fly wheel and the race and just everything really turn just very easy and fine and effortlessly though, when only even fly wheel turned by hand though, then maybe not, and maybe it has an some kind of electrical kind of problem instead? |
