Ok so I'm no expert.... I've only been sewing garments for a couple of months. I need to draft a sleeve pattern for a regency dress. Is there anywhere which shows the shape of a sleeve 'flat' and then how it will look when sewn up? So I can make a sleeve with the shape I want?

This website shows photos of two regency dresses and technical drawings of the sleeve patterns. Good luck!

There is a basic tutorial on drafting a sleeve pattern here: http://www.craftstylish.com/item/7864/create-a-custom-sleeve-pattern/page/all/

You can start from there and make your changes later. Raising or flattening the sleeve cap is quite easy.

Sew a muslin before using the fashion fabric to check the fit and the style.
