3 members like this. Date: 7/26/12 2:18 PM As much as I sew & browse on-line, I just recently found that fabric.com has several free pattern downloads for Hotpatterns. I can't be only one who didn't know this?? Anyway, I thought it would be great to have a thread where we could share this info.
Here's the link for Hotpatterns

Date: 7/26/12 3:08 PM Try their Fringe Knit top pattern, nice tapered T-fit!
I listed it in the Reviews as some instructions are lacking.
You can leave off the scarf part and modify the neckline.
I like thinkliz.com for lots of freebies too. |

Date: 7/26/12 3:43 PM Thanks, gramma b, The fringe knit top pattern is what lead me to the fabric.com patterns. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
I looked at thinkliz. She has her patterns, plus links to others. Here's the link Thinkliz ------ Beverly

Burdastyle.com has free patterns but you have to dig for them now. Before they remade the site, you could just click on a "Free Patterns" tab. Requires free membership to download.
Burdastyle.de/pt/ru etc. have some patterns free every month from the current issue, for a limited time (until the release date of the next issue, usually around the 18th of the previous month). Requires free membership to download. ------ Fashion Maté, where I blog about what I (eventually) sew : http://fashionmate.blogspot.com

Date: 8/3/12 4:04 PM Burda style actually has a few - the most famous ares probably the JJ blouse and the coffee date dress, but I have also downloaded and made a 2 piece tunic (yes, exactly 2 pieces plus a little bias tape - I still have to hem it, and posting the review will be an issue since it has no number!) and a sun hat, and downloaded, but not yet made:
Ellen pants
Kimono Tee
Cowl dress/top
And a few others. Found them by going to the Burda Pattern Store and checking the Free Patterns box in the search.
Thanks for starting this thread! I hope we have a Free pattern contest!
For the handbag contest they posted this LO_O_ONG list of free bag patterns
Oh, and while looking at some of those bag patterns I found this cute skirt.
Not technically a pattern, but still free! |
