I know this is a older machine, but I'm hoping someone on the board might tell me where I can get a copy of the little printed guide that goes with each cartridge. I have #2 & #4 that came with the otherwise stripped down machine that I got this week, just before it was to be trashed as no one wanted to buy a machine at the thrift store that was wired for 240 volts. I bought a step up/down transformer and a converter plug for about $42 at Frys Electronics so I can use it here in the United States. It seems to be working great. I would really like to try the additional stitches that are on the cassettes. I assume I have to know the number sequence of a stitch to put in the machine memory, which I guess I can only find on the little printed card that came with the cassette originally-? The machine was missing all but one foot, no bobbins and no manual. Would the manual have the stitch guides?

Hi, I just bought a vintage Elna, and loving to learn and sew on it! This forum is dedicated to vintage Elnas, with loads of info:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/elnaheirloomsewingmachines/
so there may be info for you on that site.

Also, this site is for repairs, manuals, and parts for Elna's:

Hope that gets you started!

You can also get an image of the stitches from the cassettes in one of the instructions books related to the Diva and the 9000.

Valerie, I have an Elna 9000 - and yes I still use it. The stitch listings I have for the cassettes is not in any of my books - they are on cards that came with the cassettes.
If you have not yet found what you you are looking for with those cassettes, let me know as I can probably help.
