It's a linen with a little stretch we got from Jo-Ann's. The jacket is a Kaliah Ali pattern, and the skirt is my favorite Butterick pattern.

This is a very nice thing for you to do and I know you worked very hard on it. Congrats! And it's such a beautiful color for her!------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. The key is to respect and live within Her." Jean-Charles Boisset, Winemaker

Subject: Just about finished with moms new suit Date: 7/31/12 9:48 PM I did work really hard on it. 6 muslins, if you can believe it! Interesting idea about the cuff--this jacket is unlined, so it'd be problematic, but I'll mention it to her. |

I've just finished a collection for my Mum too, so I've just experienced the work that you go through when sewing for a family member. -- Edited on 8/1/12 1:25 AM -- ------ Alias - velogiant;http://cleverthinking99.com/

Date: 7/31/12 11:27 PM 6 muslins is a lot, but worth it as the outfit looks really nice and the fit is right on. ------ Ada

I like the idea of rolling up the sleeves just a touch--I often do this, too, as it instantly make us look a little younger. :-) ------ A balanced diet is a cupcake in each hand. |
