Serger purchase real soon,...

Many people say that the price difference between these models isn't justified, because there are only small differences in functionality, what is your view?

I have read the technical differences between these machines, if anyone has experience of both models please let me know your opinions.

Congrats! How exciting! What made you decide on the 3034D over the 1034D?

A few reasons, the main ones being the stitch width, stitch length and seam width.

1034D
Stitch Width 4.5 - 7.0mm
Stitch Length 2.0 - 4.0mm
Seam width 3.0 - 6.0mm

3034D
Stitch Width 3.0 - 7.0mm
Stitch Length 0.8 - 4.0mm
Seam width 3.0 - 7.0mm

When I review the machine I will have had more needle time, so I hope to be able to add other differences in usage.

At present the thing that I don't like about both machines is that the working area lightbulb is not LED (so there is way to much heat generated in the arm), that will change real soon on my 3034D (as soon as I find a replacement bulb) :)
