We have blinds on our windows, but my husband wanted to put up some curtains so we can open windows & blinds...
So we went to Target to look for some curtains, and I ended up spending $160 just on curtains alone. (6 panels)
Before we put this up, I wanted to see if i can sew the curtains myself for cheaper.
What is this type of fabric?

We want something sheer so it won't make the rooms dark, but not too light so the wind doesn't blow it all over the place.
Is voile a good choice?
Is there a good online fabric store that sells curtain materials?

I don't know if the picture showed up...
I posted up on my blog.

If your windows get a lot of sun, get a synthetic fabric. Sun rots natural fibers.

You might want to look at fabricguru. They have a large selection of fabrics. Their fabrics are all discounted. if you look at the end of each category you will see discounted /pre cut fabrics...this is in addition to their sale sections. they sell wonderful quality stuff at terrific prices.

For a good buy on basic cutains you can't beat JC Penney, in store or catalog. I was going to make my sheers and it was alot less buying them.
btw for home dec, I also love fabric guru and fabric.com
