Date: 8/14/12 6:32 PM Just curious what a used two year old (gently used the seller says) CoverPro 1000CPX (no extras) is worth? ------ Megan |

Date: 8/14/12 7:20 PM Hi there,
if comparable, I paid 275 for my CP1000 including shipping/insurance.
It's probably 4 or 5 years old and it smelled like smoke (unbeknownst to me but I suppose the seller knew). No extra attachments, etc.
I really like how easy it is to use, and how well it works. No skipped stitches for me *knocks on wood*. It doesn't smell now that it's aired out a bunch in the back yard, etc.

Date: 8/14/12 7:56 PM If there are no attachments that come with it for that price, I agree. I actually paid about $600 for a used one, but it came with the center guide foot, tape binder, hemmer and video. I believe the accessories alone were worth over $100.
I just re-read your post and realize now it's the CPX. That's the TOL one, and I think that's about half off of what it would cost new. I wouldn't offer that much, but it's not out of the ballpark, either. |

Date: 8/15/12 10:32 AM At $499, that is a good price. This is the most up-to-date model on the market. Before the 1000CPX came out, the 1000CP was the TOL coverstitch machine for Janome. In November, 2009, I paid $505.00 (w/shipping) for a used 1000CP from a dealer in Texas selling on eBay. It came packaged in the original box with no extra attachments except what originally came with the machine. I know I got a good deal because a local dealer was selling them for $699.00 at the time and that was before taxes.
I think the price were quoted is a good deal. It all depends on what you can afford. These are great little machines if you're in the market for a stand-along CS. They do some beautiful topstitching with loads of stretch for knit garments. Good luck with your decision. ------ Judy |

Date: 8/15/12 12:18 PM I paid $550 for my CPX brand new, no extras. So, $499 seems kind of high. But prices do vary around the country, so it would depend on how much new ones go for in your area. |

Date: 3/16/13 6:11 PM I just paid $560 for a new cpx and in So CA that was a deal. With tax it was $600. It was $100 more than a used one on CL I almost got for $500 but I thought it was worth it because it is brand new. |
