Date: 8/16/12 5:04 PM Ok, I'm confused as to why anyone would buy mystery bundles. No telling if there's anything worth using...but I just make clothes and home dec items, so I guess if you quilt it might be good?? |

Date: 8/16/12 5:47 PM Mystery bundles usually have high quality fabric in them for cheap. But it is a guess if you'll use the fabric.
The first of the year, I got them from FM and had 90% of it I would use. Now, even the free stuff is not my taste. And I keep getting wool, which I wear, but I make a coat and then don't make another for years.
When they're good, they're awesome, but when they're bad, they're not much use. |

2 members like this. Date: 8/16/12 6:50 PM My original post was removed? Was it against the rules? I don't work for the company. I just thought it might be of interest to people here.
Without my original post it doesn't make much sense.
Basically the company (Hobby Horse) makes items worn (mostly by women - but there are a few items for men, kids, and sometimes horses, lol) in the Western (horse) Show world. The fabrics are the types/quality they use for their products.
The owner of the business had posted info on a horse forum (I only know her from those forums - I am not related to her business in any way) and I asked her if it would be OK to post on a sewing forum.
We post stuff about sales at JoAnn's and other places, so I thought this would be OK, too.
Guess not? But don't I deserve at least a PM or email or something to let me know my post was being taken down?
ETA - I see the "no commercial" posts part- but this is NOT something I'm selling I get nothing from it, just thought people here would want to know - like they want to know about pattern sales - and there's a whole thread for those! -- Edited on 8/16/12 6:57 PM -- |

Date: 8/17/12 9:25 PM I guess PR is pretty sensitive about threads that seem to look like ads. I think the problem was that (and I'm guessing here) you posted word for word, rather than a summary; which is how the other threads are done. So maybe PR wants you to post a summary, and not the exact wording of the ad? Just trying to help here. ------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. The key is to respect and live within Her." Date: 8/18/12 0:54 AM Thanks for providing the name of the company, so I could look up the Fabric Lotto deal. Sounds like fun, too bad I don't need Western fabric. I'd go for it in a heartbeat if it were an English riding shopping site.
And how ridiculous that your original post was pulled. We're always talking about fabric sales, and fabric bundles. Someone must have complained.

MF - I posted the entire post she made because I thought people would want the info. I'm not even sure if it's listed on the company website. Besides cut and paste is much easier than trying to reword it! Not to mention more accurate (and I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to accuracy).
MDB - I guess I was more upset that no one even bothered to notify me. Since I've been posting mostly in the contest and beginners areas, I guess I'm spam over here. |
