I'm just totally shocked. How come Coach doesn't make ladies belts anymore? I don't get it -- they sell dog collars but not women's BELTS?

What the heck is going on?
When did THIS happen?

This is like the time I went down to shop the fancy food grocery in the basement of Macy's Herald Square and...WHERE THE HECK IS THE GROCERY? It was all just...GONE!

(I gotta get out from under this rock more often...)

Subject: Coach DOESNT make womens belts any more? Date: 8/19/12 11:23 AM

Hmmm...I hadn't noticed that. Is that the case in their stores too or are they just gone from the website?

How bizarre! They do have a certain number of unisex-looking belts for which the smallest waist size is 30 or 32, but no obviously feminine ones. However, there are a lot of women's Coach belts on ebay.

I looked, too. Some are really, really beat up. And now, the ones that are described as "NEW!" are obviously suspect!

Is it POSSIBLE that the belts are IN the store, but NOT on the website, as PattyE wonders? I loved their basic, classic leather 3/4" belts. Buy them in your three favorite colors (black, red, white, for me) and they went with everything!

(flabbergasted)

You know, I bought most of mine ages ago at Coach's outlet stores, where they had many more of the classic models of belts and bags than at the trendy Coach places downtown. Perhaps because this was so long ago, even these relatively discounted items were beautifully made, and in the USA, to boot.

I dunno; does Coach even have outlet stores anymore? I don't think they're doing very well, for the store that had been trying for years to hang on in our upscale little burg finally went belly-up.

I actually would not judge or guess a companies offerings just by only their website at all. Unless it was only a on-line kind of business. In particular if it was a really good Company that had been around a long time. Just because a website is just a website, and only as good and current as some web designer, and actually the internet is not the end all and be all of just everything all the time either. I do have a Coach store near me, next time I'm around there, will walk in to see if they have belts or not.

I normally don't go in there, as can't/should not afford their stuff, and don't want to be tempted too much. (It's right next to the Louis Vuitton store which I try to staay out of for the same reasons). But I am hauling around a big lovely leather Coach back pack purse though, and I have to say, it's made very very well, and I have been using it for maybe 6 years and it has still not fell apart, which is a world record for me with purses, as I'm very tough on them. I found it, pretty much brand new at the "Goodwill Store" it had a price tag hanging on it, $9.95 When I unzipped the front pocket, there was the Coach registration # all stamped into it. One of my best "Goodwill Finds" ever!

From the just web site I do think the wrap twice around your wrist leather bracelet, several of them, linked together would make a great women's belt. I also really conet that Men's python belt, pretty sure lots of women would be wearing that one too.

So since that one was made so very, very well, I may actually buy another matching one to it, at some point. I think theynormally cost about $450 or so brand new, but if you prorate that over maybe a whole 6 years or so, then that is actually looking just better and better at that point.
