Date: 8/20/12 8:22 PM I have an industrial Singer 20u, high shank machine, and I have a collection of low shank plastic invisible zipper feet.
Anyone with a high shank machine use an invisible zipper foot, where did you get it, and did you like it? Or are you all using your regular zipper foot to sew invisible zippers?

Date: 8/21/12 9:34 AM I bought one from my sewing machine mechanic, who are an industrial shop. Cost five bucks, if I recall. (I bought a whole bunch of feet at the same time. I'm not sure I've ever used it on a zipper.) |

Date: 8/21/12 9:42 AM Don't those plastic invisible zipper feet come with the adapters for the different shanks?
I bought a box full of vintage notions just the other day and it had an invisible zipper foot with a high shank adapter. Is that what you're looking for? Or are you talking about a different kind of high shank?

You may want to use the straight stitch feed dog/plate.

Date: 8/21/12 10:12 AM Due to the speed of industrial machines it's best to use a metal foot made for the machine with no extra adapters. The other poster had a good idea to use the straight stitch feed dogs and plate as well. ------ Janome10001, Babylock ESG3, Brother ULT 2001, White 634D serger, Pfaff 1472, Singer featherweight, Singer 14T957Dc, Bernina FunLock 009DCC coverlock, Brother PQ1500S, Janome CP900. |
