cairncrew posts on her BLOG about how she used a fabric panel entitled "Fox's Wedding" to make a this gorgeous jacket:

She describes this cloth as a "Japanese cotton batik"

I am utterly charmed by this panel, but can't find anything like it when I search batik, Japanese batik, etc.

Do you recognize the method by which this panel is manufactured or printed? Do you know what it's called or can you steer me toward panels that are similar to it?

Thanks.

j.

I was as surprised as anybody that I found it. Really delighted I could help!

Marec, thank you for the alert! And Elcue,
thank you for the link to Etsy. I looked back in my buying history there and could not find the purchase, which got me wondering IF I had bought it there at all. I like to include links for this kind of thing in my blog, but being early in the morning and trying to get it posted before I went out to do farm chores, I just carried on. I used the tapir towel in a Marcy Tilton 8813 dress as the front panel and that worked out well too. They are awfully cute but very light cotton. The etsy seller is wonderful to deal with BTW, should anyone else find a towel panel they must have.

marec, I saw it when you posted the link to Camp Runamuck. The dog looking at camera is such a great landing page.

These little pieces are adorable! I found one that I must have, but I'm having trouble navigating the site--it won't let me in. I've emailed the owner and hope to hear back from her soon. Thx for putting up this info--I never would have found this adorable fabric otherwise!
