I am in the market for a dress form. There are so many out there, it is a little overwhelming. I would like to have one that is easy to work with, fully adjustable and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Help!

There are a lot of posts about dressforms so you might try searching the boards.

A big concideration for me is being able to shorten the form from shoulder to bust then from bust to hip. Not all forms have this capability.

I have a Uniquely You dress form. It is OK and comes closest to meeting my needs but still has some room for improvement.

Wish I coudl afford to buy one made to my exact shape....

Why do you need it to be adjustable? Is it going to be used for making clothes for one person, or for more than one person?

You might also consider making one of those duck-tape dress forms of yourself. I haven't done it yet, but it's really supposed to be the best way to get a really good replica of your body!

I love my PGM but it's just my size. I like that I can pin to it, so if you would like to be able to do that too take that into consideration as you look.

I second the duct tape form suggestion if your body is not standard. It's pretty cheap to make and does replicate your body well. When I gain weight I just put a sweater over mine to add more girth.

Thanks everyone! I did not check the posts here, but will. I am only using it for myself, but you do have to fit it for your own measurements, right?
