Date: 8/26/12 10:23 AM I am in the market for a dress form. There are so many out there, it is a little overwhelming. I would like to have one that is easy to work with, fully adjustable and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Date: 8/26/12 12:05 PM There are a lot of posts about dressforms so you might try searching the boards.
A big concideration for me is being able to shorten the form from shoulder to bust then from bust to hip. Not all forms have this capability.
I have a Uniquely You dress form. It is OK and comes closest to meeting my needs but still has some room for improvement.
Wish I coudl afford to buy one made to my exact shape.... ------ Ada

Date: 8/26/12 12:44 PM Why do you need it to be adjustable? Is it going to be used for making clothes for one person, or for more than one person?

Date: 8/26/12 12:48 PM You might also consider making one of those duck-tape dress forms of yourself. I haven't done it yet, but it's really supposed to be the best way to get a really good replica of your body! ------ Brother Innovis 1250D

Date: 8/26/12 2:21 PM I love my PGM but it's just my size. I like that I can pin to it, so if you would like to be able to do that too take that into consideration as you look. |

Date: 8/26/12 11:13 PM I second the duct tape form suggestion if your body is not standard. It's pretty cheap to make and does replicate your body well. When I gain weight I just put a sweater over mine to add more girth. |

Date: 8/27/12 2:41 AM Thanks everyone! I did not check the posts here, but will. I am only using it for myself, but you do have to fit it for your own measurements, right? |
