Date: 8/31/12 4:47 PM I just discovered this machine, which appears to be nearly the same as the handiquilter sweet sixteen. The dealer said they can't get the price over the phone . (grr. Makes no sense, I understand no internet, but no phone?)
they are an hour drive away , and I am not ready to buy yet. if anyone has a local dealer , can you find out the MSRP for me ? |

Date: 9/8/12 6:27 PM $5499 for the machine and table. Add $999 for the Stitch Regulator. I have seen it and it is a sweet machine. |

Stitch regulator and all...
I definitely need mo' money and a bigger house for all of the toys I'd love to have in a sewing room! ------ nightowlsally.com
On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.

Date: 9/8/12 9:15 PM I tried the Sweet 16 at a show 18-24mos ago, and I think it was about $5K with the table but no stitch regulator.
I'm a rank beginner at FMQ, but it was very smooth. ------ 🌸 Plenty of machines, mostly Berninas 🌸 |

Date: 9/9/12 12:38 PM I just was watching a video on the handiquilter website about the sit down machines with stitch regulation --- i think its an odd set up .. it works via magnet and .. just seems odd to me.
Cumbersome, I guess is how I would describe the set up.

Date: 9/9/12 2:40 PM Thanks for the videos! Great entertainment to watch these. Have you seen the thing in use in person as it were? I did see it at the Vermont Quilt Festival and it is quite the deal. The stitch regulator is an extra option, so you don't need to purchase it. This thing was really fun to see! It would fit in almost anyone's space for sewing too, so for a serious quilter - it would be just the ticket. :) ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."
