If you need a lesson on why it's important to finish your sewing projects, fast forward to 3 minutes on this video on youtube

It gave me a chuckle and I thought it might do the same for others on PR.

Thank you Lord for my Mother who taught me the joy of sewing.

Poor lady I will throw away or give away anything that sits too long. I just cannot abide unfinished projects. I have a jacket on my dress form right now which will hit the recycle bin if I cannot find the inspiration to complete it. Some people are more easy going than myself and can just move on...I wish I wasn't such a fussbudget!

I'm with you. Finish it or ditch it. If it's to precious I might finish it then give it to a thrift shop but I don't have the space for stuff I can't or won't finish. I barely have space for the stuff I really use

We had a good laugh....knowing there are unfinished projects lurking here. A funny though, I was "organizing" earlier (trying to eliminate piles) and came across a Silhouette pattern Anns top that I had cut out hmmmm yrs ago for dd. Well I sat down and also have it finished!! Yeah!! It still fits!!!

there is a great bbc news article here about delaying various projects which you may find funny too.

Angela Kane gave good advice.
Finish it because it might turn out better than you think. I've found that to be true in most cases. Even something you feel kind of "meh" about can often perk up at a later date.

That is priceless! Loved every minute of the video! Makes my current 5 or 6 UFOs more doable BUT I need to get off the 'puter and sew! My reward will be reading the BBC article on procrastinating. I procrastinate because of perfectionism...

ETA: I finished one project--hemmed a skirt for DD and started another--cut out 8 dinner napkins to go with a tablecloth I made 2 months ago!

That was hurtful to watch.

I see an episode of Storage Wars in her future! Maybe mine, too!
