Date: 9/5/12 0:51 AM I am looking for a skirt pattern with an elastic waist. I would love to use wool. All the patterns I have seen have a zipper. I physically can not have a garment with a back zipper. If any of you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. |

Date: 9/5/12 4:23 AM If you have wool jersey, New Look 6730 is worth a look. It has two basic pull on skirts in straight and a-line. They are one piece patterns too.
For a quick straight skirt, just wrap the fabric around you and pin a seam line, making sure the waist will go over you hips/butt. True it up on a cutting board, stitch a seam, put in casing and elastic, and hem. These are my quick skirt faves. ------ Tracy, Canberra

Date: 10/5/12 9:17 AM I highly recommend Kwik Sew 3003. There are lots of reviews for it here on PR.
There are probably a few others for pull-on woven fabric skirts on the Kwik Sew site. I like 3003 because it's pretty classic and gives you a few options depending on how you want to use your fabric.

Date: 10/8/12 10:58 AM Maybe this could help:
pattern [free] for non -stretch skirt. It has no zipper [as far as I can tell], but they also put an adaptation for a front zipper, if you choose to want a zipper after all. |
