Date: 9/5/12 5:18 AM Android no longer has Adobe Flash player, and I am wondering if there is any way I might watch class videos without it. I'd like to sit on the porch and watch on my android tablet device.

Date: 9/5/12 1:42 PM Hi Rose,
Which Android tablet are you using?
I will investigate this with vimeo ( the company where we host the videos) .
They do have a free app in the Android App store (app is called vimeo) which should definitely let you play the files. Could you try that?
I will let you know what I find out about getting the videos to work directly in the browser on the android tablet. ------ - Deepika

Date: 9/6/12 6:19 AM Hi Deepika,
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad.
I installed the Vimeo app last night, but something messed up the joining process, and I wound up not being able to log in. First, my "credentials" were unknown, then they were "already taken by another user". I'll try to get that worked out with them today so I can test whether that app will let me use the tablet to view the videos.
Thank you for trying to help with this.

Date: 9/6/12 9:26 PM I'm so glad you asked this question. I have a Motorola Atrix 4G phone, and was trying to do the same... but gave up :(
I just tried the vimeo app, and received the same error messages when creating the account. But then I tried to log in with it, and it worked. I don't see how to view the videos, though - are we supposed to see them in the vimeo app somewhere?
If I go to the browser (Dolphin browser), it still gives an error message about needing Flash. |

Date: 10/17/12 4:49 PM Hi Deepika,
I was wondering if there has been any progress on this. I tried the Vimeo app, but could not find a way to get it to let me see my PR class videos.
I just got an email that Craftsy is now having their classes available on the iPad, so I am hoping that things are generally moving in the directions of letting all of us to use our tablets for viewing. So convenient!

Date: 10/23/12 12:12 PM Well I can report that I'm able to watch the videos for the classes I signed up for on my Kindle Fire .
This is the original Kindle Fire not the 2nd generation that just came out so someone who has the new Kindle Fire can check that version.
I'm holding on to my Original Kindle Fire because Adobe isn't supporting Flash any longer and not even sure the new generations of Kindle Fires will have Flash. |
