Hey folks,

The American Sewing Expo is at the end of the month, and this year the Association of Sewing & Design Professionals has combined our annual educational conference with ASE.
Our fashion show will showcase members' work as well as the finalists for the 2012 Threads Magazine "Innovative Lace" Challenge. The winners are announced at end of the show.
So, who from PR will I see there?

I'll be there on the weekend for some classes and window shopping. I'm really excited that there are so many garment/fashion classes. A few years ago, it seemed tilted mostly towards quilting and embroidery.

I am going too! I have to say this year looks great! AND... I won a package for next year by registering by Aug 9. 15 seminar hours and three days admission. My brain will explode.

I'm going.I'm also taking Claire Shaefer's class. I'm so excited! Has anyone been checking out the vendors? Bring plenty of money; there will besome great fine fabric vendors there. Mendel Goldberg, from NY, will be there. There is great article in the NYT about them. Mendel Goldberg Supreme Novelty Fabrics, from Chicago will be there, too. More fancy fabric, based on what I saw on there website.

Hi Nancy,

Me and one of my roommates are also in Claire's class! I am worried about all the great fabric vendors as well as the Kai booth. Hoping I'll be too busy with ASDP events, classes and fashion shows to get in too much trouble.
Did you get the email from Claire where she mentions bringing back some Linton fabrics from the UK?

Looking forward to meeting you next week!

I'm going. I'm taking seminars Friday & Sunday. I used to have to work it & really never got to enjoy it much. Am looking forward to being a civilian this time! I even took a vacation day from work for Friday.

I will be there -- checking out buys on Friday and as a classroom hostess on Saturday and Sunday. I have a PR button and think I will wear it if allowed.

The Kai booth is a big temptation; I think I have most of their scissors, but I always look. I see you are from Texas. Haberman is a Michigan store always has a huge booth full of great fabrics.
