Date: 9/8/12 8:31 PM Price will vary a lot depending on the dealer and location.
I paid $2700 for mine with no extras but others have paid aomewhat less.
Btw, it was still worth evry penny.

Date: 9/9/12 10:03 AM I also have the BL Evolution and it is such a pleasure to work on. Switching to cover stitch takes practice, but is really easy after 2 or 3 times. You won't believe everything you will be able to do. I got mine free when I purchased my Ellisimo Gold sm, so I can't quote prices, but have seen them anywhere from 2600 - 3000.
Go for it, you will be soooooo happy you did! |

Date: 9/9/12 1:07 PM I don't know where you live, but I live in MA bordering RI. After calling all/most of the dealers in MA and RI, I bought my Evolution from a dealer in Salem, NH. I paid $2300 and she threw in the notebook/binder, 6 additional feet and a rolling carrying case. Not only did I get a FABULOUS price, excellent service, lessons from an outstanding teacher, I saved over $150 on sales tax (NH has no sales tax). I wouldn't trade my machine for anything -- very happy. I also have a Husqvarna Viking 936, a wonderful work horse, but I'm getting older and my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be for threading.
Good luck in your search, and happy serging!! |

Date: 9/9/12 6:12 PM Thank you so much everyone. I live in Virginia. I don't know things are more expensive here or not. But it's good to know what everyone else are paying. |

1 member likes this. Date: 9/9/12 7:26 PM Mine was $2700 with a box of six feet.
There was a deal shortly thereafter giving 30 feet and I could have kicked myself.
Tell them you will take it if they throw in the 3 ring binder "technique book." That cost me $89 and it irks the hell out of me that they charge for that on a machine of that caliber. They have plenty of lee way, make them throw that in! ------ Bernina 820, Babylock Audrey, BL Embellisher, BL Evolution Serger |

Date: 9/11/12 9:12 PM I paid $2375.00 plus tax in WV and I did get the Inspiration guide but no extra feet. I had the feet though from the Evolve so it was ok. I love the Evolution. They have a special right now on this model at the Babylock dealers with extra feet thrown in. Remember, you can always make an offer. They don't have to take it but maybe they will.
Good luck in whatever you decide. |
