Yay! My custom made dress form from Silhouette Patterns just came. Will post pictures when I have a chance to do the unpacking. :).

Custom made?!? Tell us more! I have a back length of about 18" and no dress form fits my measurements. Now I'm jealous.

I would love to hear all about it! How custom does it come?... I'm under the impression you'll need to finish customizing it yourself. I hope it will go easily for you! Tell us more!!!

Custom in that Peggy Sagers ordered them special made for her line from Dress Rite Forms in Il. The mm are closer to real women. Yes, you can order the form with a longer back (to your mm) at an additional fee. After receiving the form, wrap sheet batting to perfect it to your mm. It will stick to itself. Peggy made a cover for hers using a sheath pattern (torso length). I plan to wrap mine with an ace bandage. For more info, go to Silhouette Patterns.com. Click on notions. The dress form is there. A bunch of us ordered them back in May when she placed a large order to get an additional discount. They are sent directly from the manufacturer. There is a webcast you can watch from May 14 to see the process. Go to the homepage, click on past webcasts then May 14, 2012. Hope this helps.

The May 14 webcast is on making a blouse in one hour. I haven't finished it yet, so I don't know if she will cover the dress form, but WOW, it's exciting to see a blouse put together so quickly. Liberating! Thanks for telling us about Peggy Sager's site and videos.

Deesews, I think you were watching the March 14, 2011 webcast on blouses. Sounds like you found the video helpful to you though- serendipity experience! For the dress form webcast, try the link Andye posted below your comment.
