so I am considering making some curtains. because my kidz are like rawdy dogs, what length should I make my curtains?

one inch below the window seal? 5 inches? I know it can't be down to the carpet.

thanx.

The "rule of thumb" is an inch or two below the sill. However, I always say it depends on the window size and the type of drape your hanging. I have pinch pleats and my window sits somewhat high from the floor, but it is not one of those long, wide ranch windows that sits high on the wall. I didn't think just one inch below the sill would look nice, so I went about 4 or 5 inches. I think it looks great.

For kids rooms I always made mine skim the sill. Then they don't get shut in the window when it's closed. There are no sewing rules that aren't meant to be broken if you need to!
