Would you recommend a Janome Mystyle 100 for a 13 year old just starting classes? If not, what would you recommend?

My Style seems like a good sm from what I have seen . I did test it at the dealer & it is a nice running sm & has a nice stitch. It did sew on denim also & did well. Also they have a good warrantee.

It's a great starter machine especially if dealer gives her lessons on how to use. Plus it has stretch stitches to grow into at a later point.

My only thought about that machine is the button hole is 4 step...that may not make any difference to you, but I just think it's nice to have a 1 step buttonhole. Other than that, i don't think you can go wrong with Janome.

Rose, did you end up buying the MyStyle 100? If so, did it work out well? -Carrie
