I'm trying to make #17 from issue 303.
It's a raglan sleeve top with pleats in the front and there's a placket in the middle.
I just don't know how to cut the pattern for the placket.
I usually google for translation and this one includes so many words that are not in the dictionary that I don't know how it goes...

Here's the spanish version
Tapeta centro delante, una vez segun patron para tapeta sopata lado derecho y una vez cortando el patron por la linea E-F para lado izquierdo.

Google translation
Tapeta center front, once and for all, according to Tapeta sopata pattern right side and once by cutting the pattern by the line E-F for the left-hand side.

Do I cut one whole pattern, and cut another at the left side of E-F??
(there's a centerrline E-F in the middle of the pattern)
I might just wing this part...

Can you scan the layout diagram that's in the instructions? Usually you can figure out how to cut from that.

Personally, I never bother translating instructions, they're usually more hassle than they're worth. Find a pattern with similar elements in English and use the instructions from that if you need to.

That is what I understand too: Right side is the full pattern piece, left side is cut only to line E-F.

Does the finished garment photo support this? or the line drawing in any way?

My Spanish isn't perfect, but I'll do my best to make my professor proud. Sounds like: "Center front placket: cut the pattern once for the placket flap on the right side and cut the pattern once on the line E-F on the left side."
So cut the entire piece once to allow for a flap on the right and once on the E-F line which will be on the left side.
Does that make sense with what the pattern piece looks like?

Thank you,
Rhey I think your translation was right.
I first cut the entire piece and it was too big, so I ended up cutting it in half.
Funny thing is, the right and left of line E-F is exactly the same. Why didn't they just have the half cut twice?? (-_-)

Here's the finished top.
Thank you for your help!
