Date: 9/16/12 12:29 PM I have had my S21 about a year now and I hardly ever use it because I have had such a hard time with the coverstitch and setting the tensions. I thought if everyone could come together and share their tips and tricks they have found that we would all be better owners of this machine.
I have had a cheap singer serger from Wal-mart for about 8 years now that I have never had a problem with. I wanted a coverstitch so I purchased the S21. I would LOVE to utilize it but need a lot of guidance. I am hoping that there are more people out there that can come together for discussions that might be in the same boat.
I look forward to hearing from everyone!
Thanks!! |

Date: 9/17/12 3:44 AM The S21 was my first serger. It is an okay serger. I did have trouble when it went out of timing. I felt it was flimsy with tensions. The plastic does seem inferior. I traded it up for a Bernina 1150mda. something I should have bought instead of the flimsy Husqvarna. I bought the machine solely for the amount of stitches and like you the coverstitch capability.
I know someone here can help and most importantly your dealer where you bought this machine from. They will be able to give you the support you need. ------ Janome 300E
