I was browsing an online store tonight and came across a couple of cotton jerseys that look really familiar to me. So I went on Fabric.com and there they are! Same print but Fabric.com listed them under different contents: One is rayon jersey, and the other is rayon/poly/lycra. At first I thought maybe one of the stores listed the fabric wrong, but then I thought maybe they just print on different fabrics? Which is more likely?

I donít want to post the links to the fabrics in case that is a rule violation. If not, I can post them later?

You're allowed post the links on Pattern Review. In the past, I've found the identical print on very different types of fabrics produced by different companies. In one case involving a leopard print, one fabric was genuine Ultra Suede and the other fabric was poly/lycra ITY knit. I bought both of them.

Thanks Nancy!

I also noticed that there is no "name" to fabric print - stores can name them to anything.

At Gorgeous Fabrics, it's not uncommon for Ann to get the same print in on two different fabrics. Often, she'll stock the same print in both a knit and a woven.
